We did hike the entire loop, but the GPS wasn't tracking from the start.
Lenape, Boone, Horseshoe, Six Penny, Kalmia loop
Boone trail - first time to French Creek. Started at Hopewell Lake
and went counter-clockwise around. 3/4 of trip was good, well
maintained. Final 1/4 also good but a few gnats - we haven't had first
frost yet this year. Saw nice amenities: basic cabins, canoes,
swimming pool (yes, a swimming pool). Was moderately challenging. Would
definitely do again.
A hike with the Dynamic Diversions Meetup group. Mostly cloudy, around 70, dry.
Did a litttle extra after the Boone Trail hike, to see how the Horseshoe Trail heading south looks. In Hopewell, the Trail is marked by yellow horseshoes, part of the way.
French Creek - Scotts Run and Williams Hill

Start at the Scotts Run Lake parking area, cross the dam to pick up the Horseshoe Trail (yellow). Follow the Horseshoe Trail until you pick up the Ridge Trail (red). When you come out at the access road near the summit of Williams Hill, follow the access road down until your meet back up with the Horseshoe Trail. Mill Creek trail. Very wet and muddy from recent snow melt and rain.
This is a nice recreation area with plenty of trails (35 miles). Family and group camping is available and nice cabins are rentable. There is a very large nice pool with changing and restroom facilities and a snack bar. Accessible from the pool parking area is the lake boat rental. This area also picnicing facilities. Lenape - Buzzards - Mill Creek - Red/Blue - Mill Creek
Start at the Park Admin Office or Hopewell Lake Day Use area. Take the Boone Trail (blue) until you meet the Horseshoe trail (yellow) at the top. Follow the Horseshoe Trail around Hopewell Lake.
