A nice 4 mile hike through mainly wooded trails. Trails are very well marked and the trail map (copies found at the trailhead) is very clear. After the first "real" snowfall of the season, we decided to hit the Six Mile Run Reservoir site. Having passed it many times, this was our first venture onto the hiking trails and certainly won't be our last. While we didn't make it to the end of the Red Trail (a sleepy Hiker), we did cover just under 2 miles on a Trail that offered scenery and variety!
made a nice loop around the south end of the park including strawberry fields, the lake, belvedere's castle, shakespeare's garden, turtle pond, jacky onassis reservoir, the big fountain, and the main mall.
started in manhattan at city hall park went across the bridge then through cadman plaza and brooklyn heights to the brooklyn esplanade, then down to brooklyn bridge park and up past grimaldi's pizza and back across the bridge.

Came here on a scavenger hunt (for the Hawkwatch waymark) so followed the shortest route in and out. On a more leisurely day, I would follow the Four Birds loop, but if you're here to see the view and only have an hour, this is the way to go.That view is certainly worth it!

A great, quick 2 mile hike for small kids in Lewis Morris Country Park. With the rain holding off, we were able to enjoy a somewhat dry day on the trail. The Park has a whole network of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

This is a great and demanding hike with a fair amount of ascending and descending on the trail. As much as I loved the this trip it did include getting lost in the rain and trying to cross the Rahway River on stepping stones. Made it out relatively unscathed and would recommend it to anyone looking for an intermediate hike in NJ.
