This is not a hike for those afraid of heights. The difficult parts would be getting up the
mountain in McKelligon
Canyon and then getting
up the chains by The Window. If you
decide to follow my trail instead of heading to Smuggler’s Pass, then the rock
climbing right before reaching the arroyo is extremely difficult.

This hike started as a hike up to the B-36 wreck in the Franklin Mountains. As we took a wrong turn at Waypoint 1 (the big rock), this hike quickly turned into a hump up the side of the mountain up to the little stone shack.
