One of the high points along the rim at Crater Lake, Mt. Garfield allows for spectacular views of the lake
This short steep hike leaves the parking lot of Crater Lake Lodge and immediately heads uphill. Stick with it for a half mile or so and you will be rewarded with views of the lake - and they only get better as you climb!

This is a relative easy hike from the rim village to discovery look out. I went beyond Discovery point but turned back just shy of the Lightning Spring. The trail has wonderful views.
Short walk to see the deep blue of the Crater Lake. Much better view than the next notch.
