Bad weather in other parts of the US and a last minute decision brought us to Congaree National Park.After looking at the different trail descriptions we opted to combine several of them - the low boardwalk, the Weston Lake loop, and Kingsnake trails. In doing so, we would get to see the various landscapes and hoped to increase our chances of seeing wildlife.Everything was so lush and green! The trail was pretty easy...
Well, the gps track is a bit off on this one. For some reason it didn't start picking up until we were almost to the Santee river. So, actually it was a 12 mile hike. The straight line that shows on the map is an attempt to correct the track, which started at the visitors center and went to where it says "go" on the animation. It was muddy on the day...
