2.7 mile trail near Carthage, Ohio
A really great, little known gem. Trails wind along ridges formed by Mill Creek Watershed. Good elevation change as you pass over bridges through gorges. Forest is full of mature Beech, Walnut, Oak. This preserve is a glimpse at what the Mill Creek valley might have been before industrialization.

Highland Cemetery has 150 acres of wooded forest preserve with a great trail system. There is a nice creek running through the forest with two sets of beautiful waterfalls.

Excellent rugged hike at a serene location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Varied terrain that provides a nice workout. You have to cross Bullock Pen creek around the backside of the lake so waterproof boots would be recommended. The north side of the lake is a gravel service road that you walk back around to the parking lot.

Took a shot at walking the Eastern most part of the 'E' after work. This is an awesome medium length hike. It has a few notable hills, but they are well spread throughout the hike. 4th of July Weekend HikeA nice hike on the Redwing Trail with a few pleasant surprises along the way. Temps were in the 70s, low humidity... everything was still very lush. In the field ran into good company. A doe and her fawn ran by as I was examining the many blackberry bushes.

Hiked with Tracy. Beautiful sunny day. A mix of old growth forest and newer plantings, Caldwell Nature Preserve
is home to a variety of wildlife including reptiles, amphibians and
mammals. It also features a Nature Center, an amphitheater, and 3.5
miles of nature trails, including a level-paved trail that makes it
possible for wheelchair users to go into the woods, see the flowers, and
hear the birds.
