Hiking | 1.9 miles (11.8 miles away)
Seven Falls is in a beautiful, sculpted gorge in Mission Canyon. Mission Creek cascades down the canyon and over boulders, creating more than a dozen waterfalls. The waterfalls drop into bowls etched into the sandstone rock, forming deep, rock-rimmed pools.Read more at Trails.com: Seven Falls and Inspiration Point | Santa Barbara California Hikes | Trails.com http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=HGS359-015#ixzz1DHx3boy1

Santa Barbara, California, United States
Hiking | 9.9 miles (5.6 miles away)
We went out as a group of more than 20 to Romero Canyon, in the foothills north of Montecito. Soon after beginning the hike, me and one other guy picked up the pace and separated from the group. We were equipped with written directions and told that the hike was about 6 miles total, which turned out to be a significant underestimate. Luckily we both had a camelback full of water in the...

I call this the Crane School trail because Crane School is close by.  It looks like the Montecito Trail Association has added onto this trail and not it is .9 miles one way.  It follows along the creek and ends just before The Valley Club Golf Club.  Mostly flat & shaded and meanders under a lovely Live Oak canopy.  Beautiful day.

Gorgeous hike! We set out from our car as the sun was setting and ended up taking a couple wrong turns but quickly realized it. 2 mile ascent paralelling the river, heading North. Switchbacks up to the Y. Then it's 4 miles of wide fire road downhill with views of the oil rigs, SB, Montecito, Capinteria(?) and Ventura(?)
Brisk morning, but it will warm up soon Photo

Hiking | 2.1 miles (0.6 miles away)
The hike began at our campsite at Carpinteria State Beach. We followed the trails south bound through Tar Pits Park, which has natural tar seeping out of the ground in several areas. The path, which basically follows the seaside cliffs, has great ocean views. The hike continued another quarter mile south to the Carpinteria Seal Sanctuary. There were about a dozen seals on the beach and we saw several more...

We had to find out if there really was a logbook at the top of Montecito Peak, after 1 hour and 47 minutes we made it up there and found the box!  It was really cool reading everyone's hiking stories and adding our names to the list of logbook entries!
