This place is like a mix of Zion N.P. and teh Grand Canyon, or any of the strange lands of Utah. Very surprising that this place is between Dallas and Lubbock. So colorful and absolutely no one else there.
This year we did the Haynes Overlook trail which starts in a valley, Then straight up about 500 ft to a wide mesa, then down into a 2 mile hike through a wet draw. It was in the mid 90's, but dry.
