2.7 mile trail near Knik River, Alaska
Bold Ridge Hike, Eklutna is about 2.7 miles long and located near Knik River, Alaska. The trail is great for hiking and normally takes 1-3 hours. The beginning of this trail is located at about 4-4.5 miles down Eklutna Lake Trail, just after the bridge that crosses Bold River and runs into the lake.

We started at the Jodfur extrance to Kincaid Park. We walked toward the water, past the motorcross area. Then walk down the steep trail to the mudflats. We walked then about a mile or two and then hit gravel. When you finally walk long enough to where there is real sand, then look up and you'll see a very steep trail that takes you back up the bluff to the ridge. Then...

Morning walk starting from Starbucks on 5th & F Street downtown Anchorage, AK to The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Following the inlet to the Westchester Lagoon, and then back into downtown via city streets. There are also longer and or shorter options available.
This is even a good Tourist Hike for people who are not big jokers and walkers.

It was in the 40's in Anchorage, AK. A beautiful day for a walk in the park. The snow was soft & melting but a great day for a walk with the pooch! Spring is trying to move in & stay awhile! Wow! Am I ready!!!
